Man, I really was completely confused what you might mean with that, since I have lots of stuff in the tools menu, but neither "search the web" nor "confidentiality", and especially no "connection parameters"!

As others suggest it may well be a buggy macro (that's harmless, usually just a misplaced ) or ; or something), and there's also the possibility that you simply have disabled the macro plugin completely.

Click F2 > K-Meleon Plugins and check "Macro Extension".
Unless you have some physical problem with the dll, but much more likely disabled it just accidentally somehow. 
And this setting as well as the those for single macros are stored in your profile, so no wonder you still have the same settings if you install a new KM-version (depending on HOW you installed that it re-uses your old profile).
If you had not re-installed, but just created a  new profile, the macros would have been enabled again automatically.[/quote]
