When you open the folder, you then facilitate a virus to put vicious macros which can run malicious code in OnInit() function. As a macro, when found by K-Meleon is abled by default, the code will then be executed before you can disable it, and the malicious code can alter your computer before you can do something.

That's why I say that open macro folder is not a good idea.

That's also because you want to be more prudent and in the same time you open your folder to possible problems, that I say you say all and it's contrary.
