What about QtWeb, Midori, QupZilla, SlimBoat, Avant, SRWare Iron, Chromium, Comodo Dragon, Palemoon, Epic Browser, Seamonkey, CometBird, Maxthon, Lunascape, Waterfox ... Is any of them good enough i.e. which of them is most promising?
None has K-Meleon flexibility for browsing & search settings IMHO. I still use its search engines most of the time - upon pages that support it. I stopped searching actively for a browser that can completely replace it for me. I spend much time tweaking search engines I use with CoolNovo BTW Context Menue Search. I have only used or tested the bold ones. But most of them not recently. Qutweb and Slimboat and some others have almost no extensions I need. Midori e.g. cannot do Java applets and has limitations because of its GUI basis. I stopped following its development when i found it will never do Java applets. Comodo Dragon and Ice Dragon have some security features of its parent company. Rest is like Chrome BTW Firefox. I use them sometimes. Palemoon has some useful Windows tweaks compiled into it. SeaMonkey is IMHO the better than Firefox & clones/branches. Yandex has some advantages for slavonic languages. As for the rest I have seen they have little advantages over their Firefox/Chrome parent. p.s. My favorite browser fantasy is to port some K-Meleon features to Chromes engine.
