Documentation - Customization - Clear URLs from URL Bar Drop-Down Menu IntroductionURLs that you visit appear in the drop-down menu in the URL bar. Currently, K-Meleon doesn't provide a way to automatically clear those URLs. However, you can delete these entries manually. Clear URLs from URL Bar Drop-Down MenuThe following instructions explain how to clear those URLs manually for privacy and security purposes. Close K-Meleon before starting. If you are using the Loader, make sure that you exit that also. 1. Open Notepad or some other text editor. 2. URLs that you visit are stored by K-Meleon in a file called prefs.js. Prefs.js is normally located here: C:\Program Files\K-Meleon\Profiles\default\xxxxxxxx.slt\ Browse to this location and open prefs.js in Notepad. 3. In this file, look for entries that start with this: kmeleon.MRU.URL Delete all of these entries. 4. Save prefs.js and restart K-Meleon. Prevent URLs from being Saved to Prefs.jsTo keep URLs from being saved into prefs.js, you can set this entry: kmeleon.MRU.maxURLs to 0 and no URLs will be saved in the drop-down menu in the URL bar.
