I think that bug 543 should be reopened (and code reverted to what it was in b841). The fix used to mask the opening behavior has broken usage of some popups.
To hide the problem KM opens a popup as a title bar @ (3000,3000), or (0,0) if "allow resize" is enabled.

This is not a bug or an RFE. This is a replication of your previous bug reports. Your comment in 543, and your other bug reports are sufficient. The specific problem mentioned in 543 is resolved right now. If fixing the other bugs you've reported results in that bug re-appearing, then it'll be re-opened.
