KM.8 build844 on Win98
Plugins for various Download Managers (Star Downloader,WinGet,LeechGet) do not invoke respective applications. Download dialog invoked instead.
When "about:plugins" chosen for Home Page they are listed, and work fine.
Curious workaround not likely to endear itself to average user.
This is bug 540.
