There might be more preferences we want to add to the preference panel, and maybe some that can be left out. (See
[Changed Summary from "Clear location bar history button in preferences" to "Update the preference panel to hold the most used prefs"]

Per Ulf's suggestion, I'm moving bug 123 here. Please add:
 Can we add a UI setting for this preference?
user_pref("", "noAccess");
It blocks all pop-ups.

Capability prefs have more options than just noAccess and are best left to manual configuration. For example you can setup a site list and allow or restrict functionality on a site-by-site basis.

Bugs/RFE's that suggest changes to preference dialog include:
bug 107, bug 120, bug 123, bug 130, bug 136, bug 151, bug 164 and bug 241.
There might be more..

asmpgmr: You are correct, there are many, many more security options that could be included. Personally, I'm leaning to stripping down the prefs to the bare minimums versus loading them up like Mozilla has done. That's an out-of-control situation with their pref panel.

(Another pref dialog suggestion: bug 330.)

I strongly agree with Andrew. Packing all the options to the prefs dialog would be a huge mess. I suggest we add neccessary prefs to the dialog and leave the rest to the user, directing them to documentation pages (made available in the Help menu) to access the complete list.

Is the pref still needed now that the privacy plugin handles this?
