Summary: Desktop Icons non-functional

Even-though the installation went-well,and the browser works-well, the converted Desktop Icons do-not-work.

when-one-is-selected,the error message prompt says;
 "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel."

Several-attempts at reassociation were futile and without effect.

Re-installation of K-Meleon had no-effect on this problem either.

This is a Win 2000 Pro machine with 750MB RAM, and a 1.7Ghz Intel Celeron.

Can you advise a fix?

Sorry, I don't understand your problem. What do you mean with "converted Desktop Icons"?
